Over the past few years, since moving on from GoClipse, I've made several
attempts at creating a UI toolkit for the Go programming language. This
is a problem I keep coming back to when I find time as I find it very
enjoyable to work on. This latest attempt, Vizstra, is a 3D rendered UI
which utilizes OpenGL under the covers. Development has stalled as I
work on the challenge of performant text rendering. Current explorations
involve using signed distance fields for fast text rendering.
Longer term goals of this project are to explore new user
interface interactions involving VR and eye gaze technologies.
